If you need to pack a gift, but you do not want to make use of conventional bows and ribbons for its design, then you’ll find this article useful. Today we will tell you how to decorate the gift in an original way with the help of a flamingo made with your own hands.
Materials and tools:
- pink yarn;
- pink pipe cleaners;
- scissors;
- cardboard.
Cut two identical circles out of cardboard. In each circle, cut out the center piece so that they become rings.
Put two cardboard “donut” together. Take a very long thread of yarn, and start winding it on the ringlets, passing the edge of the thread into the central hole after each turn. Wrap the cardboard rings completely.
Insert the tip of the scissors between the cardboard rings and cut the yarn in a circle along the outer edge.
Spread the rings slightly, tie a tight knot around the central part of the yarn pieces. Leave the long ends of the thread, they will become the legs of the flamingos.
Make a neck of a flamingo from a brush for cleaning tubes that is cut to the desired length. Stick the brush into the pompon and bend in the shape of the neck.
Remove the cardboard rings, flatten the pompon, giving it a neat shape. If necessary, cut the sticking pieces of yarn.
Cute flamingo is ready, it remains to fix it on the package.
Note: such flamingos can be used not only for decoration of gifts, but also for decorating the premises, as well as Christmas-tree toys.
