You have probably heard that some abstract canvases are sold at auctions for very big money. And many are perplexed about this, because they often look like daub. In this article we will tell you how to create an abstract “masterpiece” in a few minutes. The project is very simple, and you can easily attract children to the process.
Materials and tools:
- bright non-toxic liquid paints;
- various brushes, broom, brush;
- large canvas.
So let’s get started.
Ask the child to choose the color of paint, randomly pour it on the canvas.
Using different brushes, distribute the paint on the canvas, experiment with the direction of the strokes and the intensity of pressure.
Different brushes provide different effects and unique textures.
Tip: Paint distribution with brushes can be done by the child, but do not leave it unattended.
Repeat the procedure with another paint. In the process, the child will understand how the colors interact when they are mixed, what kind of adjacent colors they form.
Using several colors, let the paint dry a little, otherwise you risk getting a solid spot of unpredictable color.
Tip: it is not necessary to distribute paints randomly; with their help, you can try to draw some specific objects, such as flowers or the sun.
Keep filling the canvas with paints until you are happy with the result.
Let the paint dry, your abstract masterpiece is ready!
